  7.   This is a client for the game netrek, a 16 player action game played
  8. over the internet, based loosely on Star Trek.

  10. to use it, simply run:

  12. % netrek -h <server_name>

  14. A list of active servers can be had with:

  16. % telnet metaserver.ecst.csuchico.edu 3521

  18. (other ports from 3520-3525 contain useful information as well)

  23.   I take no responsibility for this not working.  It was compiled as
  24. is, and tested only briefly.  I personally prefer the AmigaDOS
  25. client(I'm biased, I've done a lot of work on it myself ;)  but I'm
  26. also stuck with the ECS chipset, which makes X-windows somewhat awful
  27. for this type of game.  With a good display and a good net connection,
  28. this client should perform quite well.  At the moment, I have neither :(
